Only the content necessary to perform the requested feature is processed.

6. Data Storage, Security, and Retention
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Most document operations in DocuSwift are processed locally when the relevant feature supports local processing. Your documents generally remain stored on your device or in locations you choose, such as Apple Files, iCloud, or another storage provider, unless you choose to export, share, sync, or use a feature that requires external processing.
When selected information is transmitted to support a feature you request, such as assisted document rewriting, title generation, OCR, or other document actions, we use reasonable safeguards designed to protect the information during transmission and processing. Only the content necessary to provide the requested feature is processed.
DocuSwift may include document protection features, such as password protection or access restriction tools for supported PDF files. These features are designed to help protect files you choose to secure, but no method of electronic storage, transmission, or document protection can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Protected files may still be affected by weak passwords, user sharing decisions, screenshots, third-party software, device compromise, or limitations of the PDF format.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, support user requests, maintain security, troubleshoot the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Documents stored locally on your device remain under your control and may be deleted through the App or your device. If you uninstall DocuSwift, delete local files, change device settings, disable cloud sync, remove file permissions, or lose access to a storage provider, your files may no longer be available unless you have saved backup copies.
Content processed through external services for requested document features is retained only as long as necessary to provide the requested feature and for limited security, troubleshooting, or legal purposes. If a specific feature uses a defined deletion period, we will describe that period in the App, this Privacy Policy, or related feature notices.
Support communications may be retained for as long as necessary to respond to your request and maintain business records. Diagnostic and aggregated information may be retained for analytics, security, and product improvement purposes where permitted by law.
You are responsible for keeping your device updated, using appropriate device security measures such as a passcode or biometric authentication, keeping document passwords secure, and maintaining backup copies of important documents.
You may contact us to request deletion of personal information we process about you, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
7. Third-Party Services
DocuSwift may integrate with trusted third-party services to provide certain features, improve app performance, and support the operation of our Service.
Depending on the features you use, these services may include:
- AI technologies used to generate document rewrites, or titles;
- Analytics and diagnostic services used to monitor app stability and improve performance;
- Apple services required for in-app purchases and subscription management.
These third-party providers operate under their own privacy policies and are responsible for the information they process in accordance with their applicable terms.
We carefully select service providers that support our business needs and expect them to implement appropriate safeguards for protecting user information.
As DocuSwift continues to evolve, the third-party services we use may change from time to time. We will update this Privacy Policy when material changes affect how your information is processed.
8. Subscription and Payment Information
Some features of DocuSwift may require a paid subscription.
All purchases and subscription payments are processed through Apple’s App Store. We do not collect, process, or store your payment card information or other financial account details.
Apple is responsible for processing payments, subscription renewals, refunds (where applicable), and billing information in accordance with its own policies and terms.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings on your device.
If you contact us regarding a subscription issue, we may request limited information necessary to verify your purchase and assist with your inquiry. We will only use this information for customer support purposes.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
These rights may include the ability to:
- Request access to personal information we process about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Request deletion of personal information, where applicable;
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities, where permitted by law;
- Withdraw your consent for processing where consent is the legal basis for processing.
Because most documents are stored locally on your device, you generally have direct control over your files and may delete them at any time through the app or your device.
If you have questions about your privacy rights or wish to submit a request, please contact us using the information provided in the Contact Us section below. We will respond in accordance with applicable laws.
10. Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children except as necessary to provide the Service, respond to a user or parent/guardian request, comply with applicable law, or operate features used with appropriate consent where required.
If you are a child or minor under the laws of your jurisdiction, you should use DocuSwift with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child in a manner that requires parental consent and such consent has not been provided, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information or obtain appropriate consent, as required by applicable law.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us so that we can review the request and take appropriate action.
11. Changes to The Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technologies, legal requirements, or business operations.
When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy. Where required by applicable law, we may also provide additional notice within the app or through other appropriate means.
Your continued use of DocuSwift after any updates become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
